John Laurence is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. John, who previously was a patent attorney at Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman and a summer associate at Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein, LLP, has prosecuted patents in various technologies including computer hardware and memory, circuit design, software, networking, wireless systems, video processing, financial instruments, business methods and Internet technologies. John has also prosecuted trademarks in various industries including entertainment, sports, and manufacturing.

John received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University where has was a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu electrical and computer engineering honor societies. John earned his JD from New York Law School. While at New York Law School, John worked on the Peer-to-Patent project for the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
